Cybex child seats - Platinum and Gold series

Cybex child seats are divided into different series. We carry the Gold and Platinum lines. But where exactly are the differences?

The Gold Collection: The Cybex Gold collection embodies ultimate elegance and quality. This exclusive product line features outstanding designs, the highest safety standards and exceptional comfort. With the Gold Collection, you are investing in a good price-performance ratio. Families who like to have bright colors in their lives will find a great selection in the Gold line.

The Platinum Collection: The pinnacle of perfection can be found in the Platinum series. Especially the seats of the Platinum collection convince with even higher safety standards. The Platinum products may have slightly higher prices, but in return you have more comfort, more innovation and more design. The first-class materials and the breathtaking design of the product merge into a harmonious whole.

The fabrics - Comfort or Plus

The Comfort line consists of stretchy knitted fabrics that are soft and gentle. Comfort fabrics are not only kind to the skin, but are also easy to wipe clean in case of spills. The products with Comfort fabrics contain mostly standard colors are however cheaper.

The Plus line is equipped with double woven fabrics which contain 3D mesh inserts. This means that your child will always have a comfortable sitting environment, as the fabrics are breathable and sweating is prevented. Plus fabrics focus on stylish design and functionality. They are available in many colors!

Fashion

The Fashion collection is ideal for families who have an eye for that certain something! The fabrics are decorated with wonderful prints and embroideries and are absolute eye-catchers. Your little one will sit in either soft satin, textured jacquard or fabrics with embroidered surfaces. The Fashion Collection is exclusive to the Platinum Series of Cybex products!

What is a baby car seat?

A baby car seat, is a specially designed seat used to transport babies and toddlers safely in the car. These car seats are designed to accommodate the specific needs and delicate anatomy of infants and newborns. A number of features are particularly important: 

Rear-facing position: a baby car seat is designed to be installed in the car against the direction of travel. This is the safest position for newborns and infants because it better protects the child's head, neck and spine.

Seat belts or ISOFIX: The infant car seat is secured with the car's existing seat belts or with an ISOFIX attachment system to ensure it remains stable while driving. 

Safety Features: Infant carriers are equipped with seat belts, padding and side impact protection to provide maximum protection for the baby. 

Carrying handle: most baby car seats have a carrying handle, which is an important safety feature in the car, it serves as a roll bar. It also makes it easier to carry the baby in the car seat. 

Adjustable headrest: the headrest of the baby car seat is often adjustable to provide optimal support for the growing baby. 

Different seating positions: Some infant carriers can be adjusted to different sitting and reclining positions. The positions vary depending on the combination with stroller or Base T. 

Integrated sun canopy: An adjustable and/or removable sun canopy is also included. 

Use outside the car: With the roll bar, the infant carrier can be transported very easily or connected to a stroller frame with suitable adapters.

What is a reboarder?

A reboarder is a child car seat that is designed to be installed rear-facing in the car. In most cases, it is the successor seat to a baby car seat. The Sirona T and Sirona G models allow for forward-facing travel. Some features of a reboarder are: 

Protection for the head and neck: In the event of a collision, the load on the child's head, neck and spine is equally distributed in a reboarder, which significantly reduces the risk of injury. This is particularly important because a child's head is heavier in relation to its body weight than that of an adult. 

Better impact absorption: reboarders are often equipped with advanced support leg and side impact protection systems to more effectively absorb the energy of an impact and better protect the child. 

Longer Use: A reboarder is a rear-facing seat that can be used backwards until your child has outgrown it. Reboarders from Cybex can also be used forward from 76cm/15 months. Longer rear-facing use is recommended, which means children travel in a safe position for a longer time.

Cybex provides many different reboarders to choose from. Most of them belong to a modular system with base station and infant carrier.

Cloud T

The Cybex Cloud T infant carrier combines luxurious comfort and superior safety in one elegant package. With a soft and cozy interior, advanced side impact protection and practical features such as the ability to effortlessly place it on a Cybex stroller, it offers parents and newborns an ideal on-the-go solution. It can be used from birth to approximately two years (45- 87 cm). In combination with the Base T, it can be rotated 180° and even adjusted to a reclining position. In addition, you can also be belted, should you spontaneously want to use another car. With the Cybex Cloud T you make a safe choice for everyday life.

Sirona T

A remarkable combination of safety and comfort, the Sirona T offers an innovative solution for transporting your children in the car. With its intelligent design, the Sirona T allows rear-facing travel up to approximately four years of age (40-105 cm), which is proven to increase safety. Thanks to the Base T, it can be rotated 360° which makes it much easier to put the child in and lift it out. During growth phases, you can adjust the harness and headrest at the same time. It can be adjusted to different sitting positions as well as to a reclining position. With visual and audible indicators, it guarantees you a safe fastening and buckling. In the Plus fabric versions, the Sirona T also includes a sun canopy. With the Cybex Sirona T infant car seat, you and your toddler can enjoy your adventures together even more.

Base T

The Cybex Base T is an essential accessory for parents using Cybex infant carriers and child seats. This base station is specially designed to facilitate the installation of the infant carrier/child seat in the car, while meeting the highest safety standards. Through audible and visual indicators, you can make sure that the base or seat has been properly secured. It can be installed with ISOFIX and is compatible with the Cloud T and the Sirona T. With the Cloud T it allows a 180° rotation and with the Sirona T a full 360°. With the Base T, you get the peace of mind that your child is traveling safely and securely. With the Sirona T, the Base T is not optional. The Cloud T can also be used without the Base T.

The modular systems from Cybex

A modular system at Cybex usually refers to the ability to combine different components and products to meet the needs of parents and children alike. Usually, a modular system consists of three parts, the ISOFIX base station, the infant carrier and the reboarder. To start, you use the infant carrier, for example, the Cloud T. This can be clicked onto the Base T in the car. As soon as your child outgrows the shell, you switch to the Sirona T reboarder. This can be used up to a height of 105 cm and can only be used together with the Base. The idea behind a modular system is ease of use and sustainability!

Anoris T 2

The Cybex Anoris T2 child car seat is not only a stylish companion for your child, but also a reliable protector. From baby to toddler: modular system or Cloud T & Anoris T?

With the Cybex Cloud T infant car seat, you can safely take your baby on the road for the first two years. Cybex offers you two different options to continue traveling comfortably and with maximum safety.

The first option (modular system): after the Cloud T, the next seating option would be the Sirona T reboarder, which will be at your side until about the fourth year of your child's life. The Base T can be combined in the modular system with both the Cloud T and the Sirona T Reboarder. The Base T allows you to rotate the infant carrier 180° and the reboarder 360°. The 360° rotation with the Sirona T allows you here a longer backward driving! Additionally, the Base T also allows for a reclining position with the Cloud T.

The second option (Cloud T & Anoris T): after the Cloud T, you can opt for the Anoris T. The Anoris T has an integrated airbag as well as an integrated base station. The airbag is precisely designed for a toddler's physique and maximizes safety by 50%. Plus, it can be used up to the age of six!

Sirona G

Designed with attention to detail, the Cybex Sirona G offers parents peace of mind that their child is well protected on every ride. It is part of the Gold line and includes a fixed base. The Sirona G allows rear-facing travel up to approximately four years of age (105cm or 20kg). This position is proven to be safer as it better protects your child's head, neck and spine, especially in frontal impacts. Its 360° rotation mechanism means you can say goodbye to back pain, as it makes it much easier to put your child in and lift them out of the seat. The generously padded seat and the multi-adjustable seat position offer maximum comfort during the ride. Pallas G

The Cybex Pallas G is an outstanding choice for parents who demand the highest levels of safety and comfort for their child over a long period of time in the car. For about 10 years, the Pallas G grows with your child. From a height of 76 cm up to 105 cm, your little one rides along with the integrated safety harness. After that, you can switch to the car seat belt system. It is fastened with Top Tether and ISOFIX. In addition, it contains indicators that always guarantee whether it has been installed correctly. Its integrated impact shield reduces the risk of neck injuries by 40%! The impactor can be removed after your child reaches 100 cm. The reclining headrest can be adjusted to different levels so that your little one can sleep relaxed without the head falling forward. From three to twelve - Solution G or Solution T

Between your child's third and twelfth year, Cybex offers you two different Solutions for car trips.

The Solution G i-Fix child seat is part of the Gold Series and offers a super combination of safety, comfort and stylish design to keep older children safe and comfortable in the car while meeting the needs of parents. Its headrest is recline-adjustable, keeping your little one's head in the protected zone at all times during the ride. In addition, the linear side impact protection system provides even more safety. The soft padding and breathable materials (of the Plus fabric models) make the seat feel comfortable, even on longer rides. It can be used between a size of 100 cm up to a full 150 cm! The Solution T i-Fix child seat belongs to the Platinum series and impresses with its design and adaptability. It can also be used from a height of 100 cm up to 150 cm and grows with your little one. With just one handle, it can be adjusted simultaneously in length and width and thus grows together with your child. The headrest is tilt adjustable and holds your child's head while sitting upright or even while sleeping. The linear side impact protection system is responsible for more safety and can be extended. This feature provides more space for other passengers in the car. The all-round air circulation is ideally designed so that your child does not sweat and always has a comfortable seating climate.
