Bugaboo Donkey 5: a double pushchair to suit your taste
In this option, the Donkey 5 is offered as a double stroller. You can push two children of different ages in the pram. Your children sit next to each other and not in front of or on top of each other as with other prams. This way they can explore the world together, side by side.
Even as a sibling pushchair, the Donkey 5 is effortless to push and easy to steer. With a narrow width of 74 cm, it fits through any door with standard dimensions. So you can go through everyday life relaxed. If you are only travelling with one of your children, the sibling pushchair can be converted into a combination pushchair with extra storage space in just a few steps.
The pushchair offered here is in the Styled by You version. This means that you can choose the sun canopies according to your wishes. There is also the option to choose pre-selected styles from Bugaboo where the carrycot, seat unit and sun canopies are colour coordinated. On the road together
With the Donkey 5 you can enjoy your time together even more. Your children do not sit on top of each other or behind each other as with other pushchairs, but side by side. This way they are closer to each other and can explore the world together. You can see your children through the Peekaboo window in the canopy. The viewing and ventilation window in the carrycot allows older siblings who are already walking but cannot yet see over the edge of the carrycot to keep in contact with their siblings.
Narrow sibling pushchair
Although your children sit side by side, the Donkey 5 is narrow enough to fit through all standard size doorways. Even tight corners and narrow paths are no problem. The pram is comfortable to push even with two seat units side by side. Even with a loaded lower basket or a third child on the additionally available ride-on board, the driving experience remains comfortable and the pram is easy to manoeuvre.
Pleasant driving characteristics
With the Donkey 5 you are not only well on your way in narrow lanes. It convinces with excellent driving characteristics on any surface. The front wheels can be adjusted depending on the surface. On smooth surfaces and in narrow areas, movable front wheels provide more manoeuvrability. On uneven surfaces, fixed front wheels provide more grip. The suspension lets your children slumber peacefully even on bumpy paths. The beach mode offers the possibility to move forward effortlessly even on sand and gravel.
Small stowable
Even as a sibling pushchair, the Donkey 5 can be folded up small in just a few easy steps. It can be folded together with the seat and reclining unit and wheels. This means it can even be stored standing up, which is particularly practical in narrow corridors and on train journeys. For air travel and for cars with small luggage compartments, the wheels and the seat and carrycot can also be removed.
The differences between the Donkey 5 and the Donkey 3
The height of the seat and carrycot
The seat unit and carrycot are higher than on the Donkey 3. The seat unit is now 57 cm and the carrycot 51 cm from the floor. This means your child is not sitting at direct height of the car exhaust fumes. It is also easier to lift your children into the pushchair. The raised sitting or reclining position also means that you and your children are closer together.
Uncomplicated folding mechanism
The folding mechanism has been revised. The Donkey 5 is now even easier to fold. A few simple steps are all it takes to stow the pushchair in the car in no time at all after a long outing or shopping trip.
Carrycot even more air permeable
An additional ventilation window in the carrycot improves air circulation. It allows older siblings who are already walking but cannot yet see over the edge of the carrycot to see their little sibling.
Padded 5-point harness with quick-click function
The 5-point harness is padded and can be opened and closed in seconds thanks to the quick-click function. Your child sits comfortably and securely.
New design elements
While the frame colour was silver on the Bugaboo, it is graphit on the Bugaboo 5. The wind cover of the carrycot has a seamless design and the Bugaboo logo is embroidered.
Easy attachment of accessories
Attachment points are integrated into the pram for additional accessories. A Bugaboo cup holder and a ride-on board can be attached to the two points.
