Base M
The Base M is the Isofix base for the Cybex modular system of the M line in the Gold collection. The Cybex Sirona M2 i-Size child seat and the Aton M and Aton M i-Size infant carriers can be easily and safely clicked onto the Cybex Base M. The installation of the child seat on the base is quick, easy and safe thanks to the one-click installation without using the car's 3-point seat belt.
The Base M is delivered ready for installation with operating instructions. Depending on your needs, it is advisable to order Isofox installation aids as accessories, unless a corresponding device is already installed in your car, as these make installation easier and protect fabric and leather covers. The Isofix connectors of the base are individually adjustable and the support leg is height adjustable, so the Base M can be adapted to the respective place in the car.
With the baby car seats Aton M i-Size or Aton M and the Sirona M2 i-Size child seat, Cybex has developed a modular system that meets all safety and comfort requirements. Your child can travel safely backwards in the car from birth until it is 105 cm tall or 18 kg heavy, first in the baby seat and later in the child seat. This corresponds to an age of around 4 years. But it is also permitted to install the Sirona child seat facing forward in the car on the Base M from a child age of 15 months.
How is the Base M installed in the car?
If necessary, first attach Isofix insertion aids (not included in the scope of delivery) if the Isofix hooks are difficult to access. Then extend the Isofix arms of the Base M and unfold the support foot. When the Isofix arms snap into place, you can hear a click sound and the display on the gray release levers on the side jumps to green. Before the support leg is adjusted to the correct length, slide the base up to the stop on the back cushion of the car seat. The support leg must be fully unfolded (a kind of clicking sound) and then pulled out to the correct length. Here, too, "green" indicates correct installation. Then please check all optical indicators again - if you discover a red display, the installation has not been carried out without errors.
