Isofix station i-Base lx

Should a baby seat be fastened in the car with the vehicle belt or with Isofix? Both variants are possible for most group 0 baby seats. The respective manufacturers also offer the right Isofix stations for your baby car seats.

With the i-Base LX, your child drives safely in the car according to the latest i-Size standards and not just as long as it is in the baby seat, because the successor seat i-Quest also fits on this base. The i-Base LX, the i-Level baby seat and the i-Quest child seat are one of Joie's sustainable modular systems.

The i-Base LX base station is a worthwhile additional investment for Group 0 car seats i-Level, i-Gemm 2 and i-Snug from Joie, giving the shells full i-Size security. Because it has some advantages, especially in terms of safety and comfort.

Advantage of security

Using the Isofix base minimizes operating errors, as color indicators indicate correct or incorrect installation - both when installing the base in the car and when the baby seat is locked onto the base. This is not possible when buckling up with a car seat belt, everyone has to pay attention to the correct position and tension of the belt.

In addition, the Isofix base reduces the impact forces in the event of a frontal collision, thanks to the deformation zones integrated in the support leg and the base.

Advantage comfort

The Isofix base i-Base LX is quick and easy to install and then the baby seat only has to be clicked into it or unlocked again at the push of a button to remove it. The release is operated with one hand so that you can lift the baby seat with the other, for example.

You can also choose whether you place the baby seat on the station with the child strapped in, or whether you first snap the empty Group 0 seat into place and then first place the child in the baby seat that is securely clicked into place and then buckle up. When fastening with the car seat belt, you would always have to buckle the child into the seat shell before you fasten the seat seat yourself with the car seat belt.

The general handling of the baby seat and Isofix base saves time and nerves, as there is no need to buckle up with the vehicle belt and even in hectic times you know that the baby seat has been correctly attached.
